Situated in the beautiful St. John River Valley, Hartland may be the province’s smallest town but it is big on hospitality. Incorporated in 1918, our town is the home of the longest covered bridge in the world which attracts thousands of visitors from every part of the globe yearly. The Trans Canada Trail system passes through our downtown with a viewing area of the bridge and the river at the Becaguimec Park – a great place to take pictures.
The town has a thriving industrial park, an active recreation department, a new K-12 school, a top-notch volunteer fire department and a Chamber of Commerce. Only a few kilometers away, adjacent to the TransCanada Highway, is the Upper River Valley Hospital, a state-of-the art facility.
On behalf of the residents and the Town Council, I am pleased to welcome you to our area and experience our “ community spirit”. I hope you enjoy your visit and will return often or will perhaps consider making Hartland your home.
Wayne Britton Mayor
